A note from the Principal

Sion Hill, founded in 1836, is one of the oldest secondary schools for girls in Ireland. Our approach to education is based on the Dominican ideal of developing the whole person.

We aim to create a warm, lively and friendly atmosphere in which each student is encouraged to discover and develop all her talents and abilities - academic, artistic, social, sporting etc.

We are committed to providing students with opportunities to express themselves in as many different ways as possible and encourage everyone to get involved in school activities and to take on responsibilities.
