Well done to all the students who took part in the East Leinster Athletics tournament held in Santry earlier this week. Special mentions fro Eva Kelly in 3rd year came 2nd in the Under 16 200m final and Abril Allende in 1st year who came 3rd in the Minor 800m final.

On the 31st of March, the Environment and Library committees hosted a Swap Shop to promote responsible consumerism. Students donated in books and clothes and left with new items! There was a great turnout and we donated anything that was leftover. We managed to raise €132.50 which will be donated to the Irish Red Cross.

To celebrate St Patrick's Day, some of our very talented Irish Dancers performed for the Dominican Sisters at Sion Hill Convent. A very enjoyable morning for all involved. Sincere thanks to our wonderful Dominican Sisters for their warm welcome and to our amazing dancers for generously sharing their talents.

Sion Hill art students were very successful in this year's Credit Union Art Competition. Special congratulations to Lena Jeschawitz and Claudia Friel from 1st year who placed 1st and 2nd in the 11-13 category and to Sadhbh Collins (3rd Year) who placed 1st in the 14-17 category.

2nd Year Zoom Assembly. Over 60 students and tutors took part in a wide ranging chat about life as an on-line learner. The opportunity to come together was very much enjoyed by all and Livia joined us from Madrid. It was requested we Zoom again after Easter!

Sion Hill’s Social Awareness Committee organised a very enjoyable ‘ Fairtrade Beverages and Bites’ event to raise awareness of the plight of exploited farmers in the Developing World, serving Fairtrade hot chocolate, tea, coffee, bananas, biscuits and chocolate.
